Brunch at the latest Soho hotspot – Fiz Bar

Brunch at the latest Soho hotspot – Fiz Bar

On Saturday I had the pleasure of visiting Fiz – one of the newest pop-ups in Soho. Taking residency in Lights of Soho until the 13th August, founders Barnaby Lewis, Max Bigland and Jordan Nadian bring a little taste of Barcelona to Brewer Street with London’s first sparkling wine bar.

In recent years I have become quite a fan of Barcelona. Wondering the cobble streets from one tapas bar to the next is one of my favourite things to do while visiting. The hustle and bustle of the bars are so infectious, there is something so relaxed about their informal, social dining. Fiz captures this perfectly with their sharing style menu and comprehensive offering of sparkling wine. Who doesn’t love a copa de cava or two?! One of the few Spanish phases I have managed to perfect over the years!

At the weekend Fiz offer a bottomless brunch and we all know I’m a fan, along with most of the UK population. £22 will get you unlimited cava for 2 hours. The team pride themselves on quality and affordable fiz so you won’t be disappointed in their choice of cava.

Food wise, there is a great selection of sweet and savoury dishes to choose from, ranging from £2.50 to £8.50. The brunch menu features some staple brunch dishes like avocado on toast and buttermilk pancakes to some more Spanish inspired dishes such as smoked trout eggs benedict.

Going on the founder’s recommendations, we went for watermelon slices, avocado on toast, buttermilk pancakes and poached eggs. My highlights were the buttermilk pancakes and juicy watermelon slices!

If you’re looking for a new after work drinking spot of brunch place then check out this pop-up, but be quick, they are only there for 6 more weeks!
