Do you ever find yourself feeling slightly overwhelmed by how much you have to do..? Or find juggling your work life and social life a challenge..? Well this was me last month, actually it’s me most of the time! But with several work deadlines to meet and a whole load of fun social events, not to mention life admin to attend to, it was a struggle to keep track of what I was supposed to be doing and who I was supposed to be seeing in July. If I look back it’s all a bit of a blur. Having a… View Post

The newest addition to The Ivy’s collection of all-day British brasseries – The Ivy Tower Bridge opened last week and I had the pleasure of visiting the sparkly new eatery. Located along Southbank at the foot of Tower Bridge, you’re not short of a spectacular view from their outdoor terrace. But some may argue the view is better on the inside! From the perfectly polished floors to the beautifully upholstered furniture and marble table tops, this is one very pretty brasserie. We were attentively seen to our table and offered drinks straight away, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to… View Post

Last minute trips are the best. There’s nothing better than booking a spontaneous getaway. Last Friday that’s exactly what Tom and I did. Googling away at 9 in the evening, that’s when we decided to book a night in Bath. Somewhere neither of us had been before but is only around 2 hours away from home. As it was so last minute there wasn’t a huge choice of hotels left but we found the lovely Dukes of Bath B&B which was in the perfect location. The weather wasn’t the best, but then what did we expect, it’s the UK! It’s… View Post

The weeks seem to be merging into one at the moment, each passing quicker than the previous. I guess that’s a good thing because it’s busy but I can’t help but feel I need a break. A chance to switch off and stop for a minute. So a few weekends ago, after a well deserved lay in, Tom and I decided to venture out into the surrey countryside and stumbled across a little village called Churt. Naturally we gravitated towards the nearest watering hole for refreshments. We parked up at Bel & the Dragon and found a nice peaceful spot… View Post

Well what can I say about Lokhandwala..?  Besides from it’s beautiful interior, friendly staff and absolutely delicious dishes, it’s nice to experience Indian cuisine in a slightly different way. This isn’t your standard Indian restaurant!  Their take on everything is a little bit quirky and this comes through in the flavours they use and the way in which they present each dish. You could say it’s a slightly more modern approach to Indian cuisine.  The menu was full of delights and we struggled to limit the amount of dishes to order but we finally settled on… Bakes, poppadoms and relish… View Post
