Earlier this month I escaped to the Cotswolds again for some family time and relaxation. No matter how many times I visit I am always blown away by its beauty. The open countryside, the idyllic cottages and the abundance of absolutely gorgeous vintage shops. It’s no wonder people take the time to venture an hour or more out of the capital to visit the quaint, picturesque villages of the Cotswolds. Although it’s only a little part of the UK, it can feel like quite a big place to explore in just a couple of days or less. So below is… View Post

After 10 whole years I returned to the magical city of Paris. I have such fond memories of Paris having visited quite a lot when I was younger but it never seemed to appeal to me in recent years. I have no idea why as I had an absolutely fab time. And it was the first time I had taken the Eurostar which I was really impressed with. So much quicker and easier than flying. So it’s been a year since mine and Tom’s road trip in California. One whole year! I can’t believe it. Although I wrote a series of blog posts about each individual place, I found it hard to write a summary post as there was just so much to talk about. I’ve started this post numerous times. I still very regularly daydream about all the places we visited. A… View Post

Last week was the first week I had ever taken off work and not had any fixed plans. It was a little weird but exciting not to have any schedules to stick to however, I am a girl that likes a plan. Bank holiday Monday was spent brunching and researching somewhere we hadn’t been in the UK before. South West Wales had been recommended to us so we started researching this area. I couldn’t believe how beautiful the beaches looked and how cute the little coastal towns were. I was sold. Show me white sandy beaches and cosy pubs and… View Post

Last minute trips are the best. There’s nothing better than booking a spontaneous getaway. Last Friday that’s exactly what Tom and I did. Googling away at 9 in the evening, that’s when we decided to book a night in Bath. Somewhere neither of us had been before but is only around 2 hours away from home. As it was so last minute there wasn’t a huge choice of hotels left but we found the lovely Dukes of Bath B&B which was in the perfect location. The weather wasn’t the best, but then what did we expect, it’s the UK! It’s… View Post
