Last minute trips are the best. There’s nothing better than booking a spontaneous getaway. Last Friday that’s exactly what Tom and I did. Googling away at 9 in the evening, that’s when we decided to book a night in Bath. Somewhere neither of us had been before but is only around 2 hours away from home. As it was so last minute there wasn’t a huge choice of hotels left but we found the lovely Dukes of Bath B&B which was in the perfect location. The weather wasn’t the best, but then what did we expect, it’s the UK! It’s… View Post

Besides being on my list of things to do before I am 30, I have wanted to go to Ibiza for a while now. Not only to dance through the night, although there was a fair bit of that, I also wanted to see what else the island had to offer and boy did it have a lot! There is so much more than the partying side to Ibiza. This beautiful Balearic Island has gorgeous shorelines, hilltop views and some stunning secret beaches. Being in Cornwall seems like a lifetime ago now. Since our easter weekend break it’s been a busy few weeks. The house renovation has been in full swing and it has been some of my busiest weeks of the year at work! I’m ready for another break again already. After LA, Vegas, Death Valley and Yosemite, it was time to drive onward to San Francisco. I had heard so much about San Fran I couldn’t wait to arrive, especially after a few days in the wild I was looking forward to being in a city again. We only had 3 days and we wanted to make the most of it. So in such a big city and so much to see/do, what should be on your to-do-list..? If, like us, you are planning on visiting but only have a limited amount of time, here are my top recommendations… Where… View Post

Last weekend began with a 4am alarm on Friday morning. Why is it whenever you are getting up for something other than work it’s far easier, no matter what the time is! The early alarm call was necessary as we had a 5 hours drive ahead of us to reach the Lake District. I was excited to getaway in January as December was rather hectic, fun but busy. The Lake District is usually a summer destination for most, I’ve visited several times and always been quite lucky with the weather. It’s not unusual to see all four seasons in one… View Post
