Being in Cornwall seems like a lifetime ago now. Since our easter weekend break it’s been a busy few weeks. The house renovation has been in full swing and it has been some of my busiest weeks of the year at work! I’m ready for another break again already. There is nothing better than going away to the beautiful English countryside to escape the stresses of everyday life. As this week comes to an end, I can’t help but look back at our time in St Merryn as a reminder of less stressed times. Staying in St Merryn was the… View Post

After LA, Vegas, Death Valley and Yosemite, it was time to drive onward to San Francisco. I had heard so much about San Fran I couldn’t wait to arrive, especially after a few days in the wild I was looking forward to being in a city again. We only had 3 days and we wanted to make the most of it. So in such a big city and so much to see/do, what should be on your to-do-list..? The Lake District is usually a summer destination for most, I’ve visited several times and always been quite lucky with the weather. It’s not unusual to see all four seasons in one… View Post

As part of a two week whirlwind roadtrip around the west coast of America, how could we not stop off in Big Sur! After all this area of outstanding natural beauty is continuously raved about and I’m a bit of a sucker for a pretty view. What better way to experience it than with a bit of glamping. When researching there were a lot of options but we did have to check nearer the time of our trip as it had been a particularly dry year and they had a high amount of wild fires in the area. Luckily the… View Post

I could sit here and write an endless list of amazing tapas restaurants…Bar del Pla, Tapeo del Born, Bodega La Puntual etc…but when I go to Barcelona there is always one place I like to visit – Cup & Cake. When I say 1 place, it is actually a small independent group now with 5 restaurants which has quickly grown in the past few years due to thier success and popularity. The atmosphere in each restaurant is friendly, light and inviting. The food is simply delicious and almost too pretty to eat. In the first picture you can see healthy… View Post
