Well what can I say about Lokhandwala..?
Besides from it’s beautiful interior, friendly staff and absolutely delicious dishes, it’s nice to experience Indian cuisine in a slightly different way. This isn’t your standard Indian restaurant!
Their take on everything is a little bit quirky and this comes through in the flavours they use and the way in which they present each dish. You could say it’s a slightly more modern approach to Indian cuisine.
The menu was full of delights and we struggled to limit the amount of dishes to order but we finally settled on…
These were closely followed by a Delhi street food dish called Tikki. It was a complete delight and so nice to try something I wouldn’t usually choose just by looking at the menu.
The chicken curry was perfectly flavoured and came with lovely seeded bread. The marinated lamb skewers were very fragrant and such nice meat. To accompany both dishes we went for a slight different naan bread – blue cheese and truffle oil! I highly recommend everyone tries this! It sounds strange but the flavours are perfectly balanaced and are surprisingly complimentary.
And I cannot write this post and not talk about the cocktails! Let’s just say whatever one you order, you will not be disappointed in the presentation. And, well, the important thing – they are all delicious.
